Many of us work at a desk job which requires that a majority of our day is spent sitting in front of your desk.  This usually results in back pain and aches.  If left untreated, these can worsen and may even bother you to the point that you lose focus and now have a limited range of movement.

In cases such as this, the usual treatment is via physical therapy or prescription medicine, but now that the Teeter Hang Ups EP-950 Inversion Table is here you can say goodbye to your back problems.  This product works by stretching your spine by being in an inverted position.  Gravity plays a huge role since it is the main force that pulls and elongates the spine as you move into various positions on this inversion table.

Product Detail

The Teeter Hang Ups EP-950 Inversion Table has a lot of features that will ensure effective and safe exercise.  Its Ergonomic Flex Technology™, which is a patented design by the Teeter Hang Ups Company, lets you stretch at a wide range of motion and angles.  While using this product, you will feel that your body is starting to stretch, relax and realign.

In the process, an adjustable pillow that comes with this product gives extra comfort.  Achieving a rewarding Decompression Stretch is possible since it has an Optimum Decompression Surface, which not only lessens friction but also lets you smoothly slide up and down for that great stretch.

The material used for its bed makes it resistant to stains and tears because of its plastic injection molded construction.  Added to this is that the surface is easy to clean and wipe, keeping it looking at its best after years of use.  It also has a stable base that prevents the equipment from sliding across especially when in use.

Pros

One of the main concerns of those who want to try Inversion Therapy, but are afraid to because of their weight and frame will definitely find that the Teeter Hang Ups EP-950 Inversion Table is the best choice.  The Ankle Comfort Dial™ indeed feels great and sturdy.  You won’t have to worry about falling down or injuring yourself when using this equipment.

The surface of this equipment is another thumbs up. It does not only look good and clean when first assembled, but still looks that way even after regular use.  It truly is easy to maintain since you only have to wipe the surface and you are good to go, no stains, no worry.

Many find that after using the product, their back pain drastically reduces and they feel more alive.  Even bad posture is corrected and blood circulation improves.

This is also a great equipment to use by starters.  It offers safety and durability in use and also has features that those starting out with Inversion Therapy will indeed find useful.  The Pre Set Rotation Control lets you invert at three different angles.  The tether strap can also be adjusted or removed according to your needs.

Another great thing with this product is the ease of assembly.  When it arrives at your doorstep, it already comes pre-assembled and what’s left to do is turn a few more screws and the product’s all ready to use.  Just make sure to check all the pre-assembled parts before you start using it to make sure all are in good working condition and tightly screwed.

Cons

One thing to note about the Teeter Hang Ups EP-950 Inversion Table is that it has a slightly higher price when compared to its counterparts at $399.99.  Yet, this price is already 31% lower than its initial price of $579.

Some complain that the Optimum Decompression Surface sometimes becoming too slippery to use, especially when moist or wet, but this can be easily be remedied with a good wipe using a dry cloth.

It is also slightly heavier than the other inversion tables. At 80 pounds, it is hard to move around when fully assembled.  My suggestion is to assemble the product in the place where you will be putting it to avoid having to move it around the house.

I’m not going to write a book like most of the people have. I have a slipped disk and want to avoid surgery at all costs. This table does what it says. It decompresses and makes the back feel good. I have been doing it for almost two weeks and the back pain is going away a little at a time. I recommend this product. It’s very sturdy. I would warn to not invert to a steep angle to start with. I did and my legs hurt for two days. Start at a low angle for 30 seconds and work up.

Glad to have this for helping to keep my back healthy. Wish they would make the length for the torso a little longer, so my head has plenty of room, while hanging upside down. : )

I have a degenerated disk in L 4-5, probably from an accident years ago that has partial bone on bone now. I try to hang twice a day and am now on my second teeter table. I wore the first out after 10 years and had trouble contacting teeters for replacement parts so just bought this new modle. Glad I did the ankle system is much better as well as the back rest. I also do sit-ups while hanging, quite a challange. Overall I feel inversion is beneficial for ME, but I could see maybe not for all people.

Use just before bed. Lowers pain in lower back significantly. My quality of life has increased since i began using!! If you are experiencing nerve pain I highly recommend! Have had several surgeries, just don’t invert all the way. You only live once!

The EP-950 is well built and thoughtfully engineered, but it could benefit from a couple of tweeks IMHO. The pivot-point covers could be slimmed a bit so when you have your hands on the grip handles, they dont get side-swiped by these pivot-point covers when teeter-tottering. I find that oscillating helps my spine relax better than just hanging in stasis.
Another ouch is the support braces -when you are fully inverted and doing the twist, I have banged my elbows on these braces a couple times. Some foam tubing slipped over them would minimize the pain of contact.

I’ve been using this about a month now and although my lower back pain subsided almost immediately, I’m still having great pain caused by my sciatic nerve. I dont really expect the teeter to help with this but it is too early to conclusively say.
I will say one thing, hanging upside down isnt that comfortable. The ankle grips will make your ankles hurt while you hang, and the blood rushing to your head while inverted doesnt feel too good either. These are not necessarily the fault of the teeter, but more the physical stresses of such an un-natural exercise. I have found that you get used to this, but also if you work your muscles (such as partial sit-ups or side-side stretching) while hanging it tends to minimize the effects.
Your mileage may vary. I think hanging 10 minutes at one shot would be punishing…I cant do it yet but maybe I’m a wuss so far I’m only good for a few inversions spaced over 1-2 minute sessions.
